The Junior League of Memphis – May 9, 2020 – JLM 5k & 10k Virtual Race

The Junior League of Memphis is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Current JLM president, Erica Stiff-Coopwood, discusses the value of the organization and how they are pivoting by hosting their annual 5K / 10K, virtually. In response to the recommendations by the CDC regarding group/crowd size for gatherings,  this year’s JLM 5K / 10K Virtual Race will allow the organization to continue the event this year to help support their community programs.

May 9, 2020 – JLM 5k & 10k Virtual Race

May 9, our organization will host our first ever virtual 5K / 10K.  After careful consideration keeping the health and safety of our participants, volunteers and spectators in mind, and in response to the recommendations by the CDC regarding group/crowd size for gatherings, we are transitioning this year’s JLM 5K / 10K to a Virtual Race. This was a difficult decision; however, we believe it to be our best option to continue our event this year. Whatever else is going on in the world, our community programs still count on the Junior League of Memphis to support their needs in the Memphis community.
