Matt Thompson, Chief Zoological Officer with the Memphis Zoo, who shares some of the history of the Memphis Zoo and the special care that the animals receive, along with the bonds created not just with the Zoo Keepers but with the visitors, as well. During the interview, Thompson talks about some of the recent births at the zoo, saying goodbye to North America’s oldest African Elephant Tyranza, and how the community has shown tremendous support. Thompson also highlights upcoming events, including Art for Elephants on October 4-10, 2020, Zoo Boo and Zootoberfest taking place throughout the month of October.
