Meritan: Current Efforts to Vaccinate Homebound Individuals

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Melanie Keller, President and CEO of Meritan, who discusses their current efforts to vaccinate homebound individuals in Shelby, Fayette, Tipton and Lauderdale counties who are unable to get a vaccine due to the challenges created by disabilities and illness. During the interview, Melanie provides an overview of Meritan and its programs and services, and then covers the main details of how individuals and their caretakers can sign up to receive a Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccination at home for free.

There are three ways to sign up: 1) Visit www.meritan.org to submit your information online, 2) Email vaccine@meritan.org, or 3) Call 901-612-2122.

Special Note: As of April 13, 2021, pending further direction from the FDA, Meritan may switch to the 2 dose Moderna series. The organization is awaiting further guidance.
