Park talks with Karri Morgan, Executive Director of the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, who shares a brief history of how the organization started with their founder, Olympic Gold Medalist figure skater and national speaker Scott Hamilton, and their dedication to changing the future of cancer by funding advanced, innovative research that treats the cancer while sparing the patient. Karri highlights their efforts to provide support and to fund immunotherapy in cancer research and clinical trials, and talks about their collaborative approach in convening different medical and community stakeholders to create change and help patients and families. She also talks about some of the many ways to get involved with upcoming events and efforts, and more.
CARES stands for Cancer Alliance for Research Education and Survivorship. We seek to be a neutral convener between organizations, researchers, academic scientists, drug developers and others to accelerate the advancement of less toxic treatments for isolated cancers and tumors.
