cityCURRENT Show on MeTV: Nashville Sounds & One Generation Away

This week on The cityCURRENT Show we’re learning about baseball and food donations in Middle Tennessee. Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Bryan Mayhood, Vice President of Sales with Nashville Sounds, who highlights the start of the upcoming 2021 baseball season, the history for the team, which currently is a Triple A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, how their 25 player roster is set, what playing in a new division means for the team and fans, and some of the major changes due to the pandemic.

Park also sits down with Chris Whitney, Founder and Director of One Generation Away, who shares his personal story of starting the nonprofit that distributes healthy foods to families throughout Middle Tennessee who currently do not have access to food sources due to economic and physical barriers. During the interview, Chris discusses their model and how they rescue food and then host mobile food distributions, their impact and how people can help their efforts, how the organization has changed him personally and much more.
