Park talks with Melanie Keller, President and CEO of Meritan, who highlights the nonprofit’s efforts and impact across the Mid-South focused on their mission to improve well-being and promote independence throughout life’s stages with quality and compassion. During the interview, Melanie talks about how her team provides mobile care in four states with specific services and programs for each state, including providing skilled home health and personal assistance, therapeutic foster care for youth, private home placement and oversight for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities, senior job training, and more. She also highlights their role providing emergency response and coordination for the Memphis area Coordinated Response to Elder Abuse (CREA) and how they are playing an important role in vaccinating homebound individuals in Shelby, Fayette, Tipton, and Lauderdale counties in Tennessee who are unable to get a vaccine due to challenges created by disabilities and illness. This includes both the COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
