Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Jordan Walker, Director of Development and Communications at Southern Reins Center for Equine Therapy, a nonprofit founded in 2015 that serves children and adults with disabilities and hardship throughout the Mid-South. Southern Reins offers equine-assisted services designed to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and hardship, including Down syndrome, autism, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, amputation, cognitive and physical disabilities, trauma, and more. During the interview, Jordan talks about their 35-acre facility located in Collierville, Tennessee; their different programs, including Adaptive Riding, Equine Services for Heroes, and their TEACH Program; and ways the community can support their efforts through volunteerism, contributions and upcoming events, like their 7th Annual Jockeys & Juleps Derby Party on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
