Park talks with Glen Thomas, Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications/PIO with the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority, who highlights the opening of Memphis International Airport’s new modernized concourse. Memphis International Airport opened its modernized B concourse on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. The redesign includes the addition of wider corridors, moving walkways, larger boarding areas, higher ceilings, and increased natural lighting. During the interview, Glen talks about the new amenities and restaurant options, the all-new artwork program that includes 61 different artworks representing 62 artists with ties to Memphis, the stage for live music, children’s play area, lounge for children and families with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and much more. He also discusses plans for the future and how no local tax dollars were used to fund the modernization efforts.
