Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Lea Carr from The Rotary Club of Memphis, who highlights their upcoming event, Cafe du Memphis, taking place May 21, 2022 at the Malco Summer Drive-In from 10 AM to 1 PM. At the event, you will be able to enjoy beignets, shrimp & grits, cafe au lait, and plenty of fun. You may drive-thru or dine in your car. Tickets are $12 for a half plate of beignets and $25 for a full plate of shrimp & grits and beignets. Proceeds benefit the Dorothy Day House and the Memphis Rotary Foundation. During the interview, Lea talks about the Dorothy Day House of Memphis and their efforts to provide temporary housing and support services for homeless families in Memphis, Tennessee. She shares some of her experience as a past board member for the organization and also highlights The Rotary Club of Memphis and the importance of the Cafe du Memphis event, as one of their largest fundraisers and opportunities to support the Dorothy Day House of Memphis.
