cityCURRENT Show on MeTV: Supporting Our Community Through Catalytic Leadership

This week on The cityCURRENT Show our theme is Supporting Our Community Through Catalytic Leadership with Gilda’s Club of Middle Tennessee and Dr. William Attaway.

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Allison Yonker, Program Director for Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, which is dedicated to providing support, education and hope to all people impacted by cancer, including family members and friends of those diagnosed. Free of charge to everyone, Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee provides a gathering place where people with cancer, as well as their families and friends, can join with others to actively involve themselves in building social and emotional support as a supplement to regular medical care.

During the interview, Allison provides some of the history for the nonprofit organization, talks about their various programs and resources, shares some of the impact and feedback from families and individuals supported, and spotlights ways the community can support their efforts.

Then, Host Andrew Bartolotta sits down with leadership coach, Lead Pastor, and author of Catalytic Leadership, Dr. William Attaway, to discuss personal leadership growth plans, how his older daughter’s cancer diagnosis impacted his family, faith, and leadership; as well as how we can be conduits instead of reservoirs of what we’ve learned and experienced from others.
