Park talks with Nyrone Hawkins, Executive Director of Memphis Gridiron Ministries, who highlights the outreach ministry created to administer, support and oversee youth tackle football primarily in the Binghampton community. Memphis Gridiron Ministries is a Christ-centered youth football organization for early grade school boys, focused on sharing and modeling the Gospel of Christ by way of spiritual coaching, mentoring, relationship building and defeating the “Win-at-all-Cost Mentality” that is pervasive in many youth sports today. During the interview, Nyrone talks about their upcoming 10 year anniversary, expanding the programming to include girls and be offered year-round, their focus on including the whole family, the power of football and what it teaches youth, their program’s impact on the young men and our community, and ways to get involved and support their efforts.
