Memphis Child Advocacy Center’s 30th Anniversary & 33rd Gala

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Virginia Stallworth, Executive Director of the Memphis Child Advocacy Center, who highlights the nonprofit’s mission and efforts to serve children who are victims of sexual and other severe abuse through prevention, education, and intervention. During the interview, Virginia discusses the 30th Anniversary for the organization, which was established in Memphis in September 1992, and describes their model with different partner agencies comprising the Shelby County Child Protection Investigation Team headquartered at the Memphis Child Advocacy Center. She talks about the impact of their efforts and the importance of teddy bears, and then talks about their Stewards of Children child sexual abuse prevention training, providing an update on progress toward their Tipping Point Goal. Virginia wraps up spotlighting the Memphis Child Advocacy Center’s 33rd Annual Gala, which is happening on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the Hilton Memphis. The event features an elegant ballroom, an exceptional multi-course dinner, live music, dancing, a silent auction and unique Teddy Bear Surprises.
