Confidential Care Mobile Ministry, efforts to help mothers & families in crisis

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Rick Carr, Development Director with Confidential Care Mobile Ministry, who highlights the Christ-centered nonprofit organization helping mothers and families in crisis and who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies. During the interview, Rick discusses their three biblically-based outreach programs, their Mid-South Women’s Clinic, Telecare Health, and Continuum of Care. Mid-South Women’s Clinic is the name of their Medical Mobile Units, where every day of every workweek and sometimes on the weekend, they send out two medical mobile units covering Tipton and Shelby Counties. The units are overseen by a two-person medical ministry team, an RN and Patient Client Advocate. On the unit, they provide accessible and free health care for women with limited transportation and resources who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. This includes testing, Ultrasounds, education, ministry, support and resources with a focus on saving the preborn baby’s life. He talks about their Telecare Health and the collaborative statewide program tied to Governor Lee’s initiative, and their Continuum of Care, which provides hands-on resources and guidance both practically and spiritually in an effort to realize the birth of a healthy child, help the mother (and father if possible) realize the resources and support needed to redirect their lives toward positive and sustainable outcomes, and to plug them into long-term loving support and discipleship through biblically based local churches.
