Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Dr. Scott Morris, who highlights his latest book, “Care: How People of Faith Can Respond to Our Broken Health System,” which is now available at book retailers online and around the nation. Dr. Morris is a medical doctor, pastor, and founder and CEO of Church Health, which is based in Memphis, Tennessee and known as the nation’s largest charitably funded faith-based health-care center. During the interview, Dr. Morris shares some of his personal background and story in launching Church Health, what led him to write the book, examples of how the health system is broken and how we can take action in our own lives and live out a crucial aspect of discipleship by ministering to the vulnerable and underserved among us. Dr. Morris’ book calls readers to awareness, action, and advocacy in their local communities on behalf of those who have no one else to turn to for quality care.
