Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Sara Figal, Executive Director of the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center, who shares some of the history for the nonprofit and talks about their mission and efforts to empower individuals and families to resolve conflict through mediation, so they can focus on family, work, school and community.
During the interview, Sara talks about the importance and power of mediation, which is private and confidential, allowing successful participants to avoid eviction, further court or police involvement, loss of employment, school discipline, etc. She shares some success stories and how mediation can not only resolve challenges but also help heal and bring the community closer together.
