“Tenacious” – The Jeremy Williams Story Feature Film

A documentary sharing some of Jeremy's inspiring story as a high school football coach who lead his team to an undefeated season in 2009, while suffering from the onset of ALS.

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Steven Camp, Executive Producer of “Tenacious” – The Jeremy Williams Film, who highlights the feature film project that is based on the book, “Tenacious” written by Jennifer and Jeremy Williams, and a documentary sharing some of Jeremy’s inspiring story as a high school football coach who lead his team to an undefeated season in 2009, while suffering from the onset of ALS. Jeremy Williams played football at the University of Memphis and became a high school football coach who was honored as “Coach of the Year” by the National High School Coaches Association in 2009. He was diagnosed with ALS in 2008, and throughout the 2009 season suffered from the onset of ALS, slurring his words, moving around practice in a golf cart, and leaning on players and other coaches while he called the plays in games. The Williams family episode on Extreme Makeover Home Edition was viewed by more than 10 million people across the U.S., who learned more about his family and story, and Jeremy and Jennifer’s son who was born with Spina Bifida and is confined to a wheelchair. Jeremy Williams passed away in March of 2022.

During the interview, Steven talks about the importance of sharing the story of Jeremy and Jennifer Williams, the importance faith plays in their family and in the film, how the script and production pieces are all coming together, and how the community can both support the project and invest in the production.
