Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee and 120th Anniversary

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Jeff Darnell, Club Director, and Allen Bolden, Alumnus and Board Member with Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee (BGCMT), who both highlight the mission and efforts of the nonprofit organization creating a new and brighter future for thousands of young people. BGCMT is a comprehensive youth service organization operating eleven Club locations in Davidson and Williamson counties. The organization helps young people ages 5-18 to reach their full potential.

During the interview, Jeff and Allen talk about the transformative experiences youth receive at the Centers, the power of mentorship and guidance, the importance of career exploration and skill development, and how the organization will be celebrating its 120th Anniversary on March 17. On March 17, while it’s St. Patrick’s Day, they are encouraging all Club members, staff, alumni and supporters to wear all BLUE to help raise awareness and to celebrate the organization’s reach and impact. Their goal also is to raise $1.2 million of new investments. Jeff and Allen talk about why that is so important and how the community can get involved to support their efforts.
