Ignite, Inspire, and Transform the lives of collegiate students and youth living in underserved communities to positively impact their community and the world.

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Demetrius Short, Founder and CEO of Transformation Life Center, who highlights the nonprofit organizations mission and efforts to “Ignite, Inspire, and Transform the lives of collegiate students and youth living in underserved communities to positively impact their community and the world.”

During the interview, Demetrius shares some of his personal story and what led him to launch Transformation Life Center, and then discusses some of their foundational programs, including their Steps of Success 5k Run/Walk, Brown Boys Read, and Pathway to Success Leadership Academy. He shares some testimonials of success and also how the community can get involved and help support their efforts.

Brown Boys Read Initiative (In partnership with Black Men Run Nashville) – Literacy | Leadership | Health and Wellness of Black and Brown Boys 2nd – 5th Grade.  Inspiring the love of reading through the love of running to help black and brown boys improve reading proficiency, outrun childhood obesity and live fuller, healthier lives!

Pathway To Success Leadership Academy – (College and High School Leadership Academy) – Cultivating Future Black Leaders to positively impact their community and the world!

13th Annual Steps of Success 5k Run/Walk – Saturday, September 9th at Shelby Park – I will suit up for the 13th year with participants to help create a pathway to success for youth in our community!  We have our sponsorship deck with opportunities for companies and individuals to get involved.
