Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Racecar Driver, Keynote Speaker, STEM Advocate, and Entrepreneur, Julia Landauer, who highlights her new role as a Podcast Host after recently launching her podcast, If I’m Honest with Julia Landauer.
During the interview, Julia shares a recap of her presentation at the cityCURRENT signature speaker series event in Memphis and some of the lessons she discussed at the event and with the girls from Girls Inc. of Memphis. She talks about one of her favorite experiences on and off the racetrack, what it’s like to be a Racecar Driver, how technology and STEM plays a critical role in the team’s success, and how she has built her competitive edge in the sport. She talks about launching her podcast, some of the major topics she has already discussed, and how it is helping her grow personally and professionally while engaging a wider audience and offering an opportunity to dive in deeper to important topics that can challenge and inspire listeners in new ways.

About Julia Landauer: Julia Landauer is a 2X champion racecar driver from New York City. Since making history as the first and youngest female champion in the Skip Barber Racing Series at age 14, Julia has amassed dozens of wins in many different racing series. After becoming the first woman to win a NASCAR Track Championship at Motor Mile Speedway in her division in 2015, Julia graduated to the televised NASCAR K&N Pro Series West in 2016, and went on to become the first woman to lead a lap in the Canadian NASCAR Pinty’s Series in 2019. In 2020, Julia competed in the NASCAR Euro Series, where she finished 5th, the highest ever for an American. Julia currently races part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Away from the track, Julia graduated from Stanford University in 2014, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, and Society. During college, Julia was a contestant on Season 26 of CBS’ reality TV show, SURVIVOR. It was also in college that Julia started her motivational speaking career with a TEDx Talk, beginning her career as a sought-after keynote speaker for corporations, universities, and conferences. Julia has purposefully built her brand to be where technology, community and racing intersect and fuse while advocating for STEM education and women’s empowerment. Julia served as an external advisor to Hyundai Motor Corporation’s Center for Robotic-Augmented Design in Living Experience, and is the founder and CEO of FrontRunner, a Web3 consulting company.
