Host Jeremy C. Park talks with TD Smyers, who heads up Regional Development Partnership for BoardBuild and shares how the organization is leveraging technology to strengthen and diversify nonprofit boards nationwide. During the interview, TD shares some of his background in nonprofit leadership and board development and how that led to the creation of BoardBuild. TD talks about the benefits of the training program being online, where individuals can access the engaging curriculum from anywhere at any time, and then be matched with nonprofits that have board openings that fit based on a number of different factors, including geography, cause, expertise, etc. He also talks about their model of creating regional partnerships to invest back into the local communities and create a win-win for all involved.
