Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Mike Womack, Executive Director with Feed America First, who highlights the Murfreesboro, Tennessee-based nonprofit organization and their mission and efforts to provide food to those who feed the hungry.
During the interview, Mike shares some of the history for the organization and their growth and expansion over the last 23 years, talks about their model and how they source the food donations and distribute the food through more than 200 partner agencies in mostly rural areas, and how their expansion project with their facilities is opening more possibilities for the future. He also talks about the power of a dollar with each $1 donation providing for 15 meals, and then some of the many ways the community can get involved to support their efforts.
