While working as a cook at the Tibetan Trader and Teahouse in Bozeman, Montana in 2001, our founder, Sarah Scarborough made the first batch of Firepot Chai.
With a background in organic farming, a love for travel and global cultures and an overactive sense of smell, she fell into the world of tea. Since then, she has started a number of tea companies in New Zealand and Nashville and worked as a tea buyer and tea consultant for companies like The Republic of Tea.

Curated over years of adventure, each tea in our collection offers a healthy escape and an authentic taste from some of the world’s most inspiring cultures.
