Together\, we’re helping ensure children have the tools they need to walk confidently into their future. \nWe need volunteers in a variety of roles\, including greeters\, shoe fitters\, shoe sizers\, backpack and book stations\, and more. This rare ecosystem offers a powerful glimpse into the region’s natural history while highlighting the importance of conservation and environmental stewardship today. \nOriginally spanning 200 acres when Overton Park was founded in 1901\, the Old Forest now encompasses 142 protected acres\, including 126 acres officially designated as a State Natural Area in 2011.
