A Lifetime of Impact.Join us in creating lasting change—one smile\, one step at a time. \ncityCURRENT and Delta Dental of Tennessee\, in partnership with the Nashville Sounds\, Samaritan’s Feet\, Interfaith Dental\, Meharry and other local organizations\, presents Kids Dental Day & Shoe Distribution on July 11th—at First Horizon Park. This event provides children with FREE DENTAL SCREENINGS and cleaning\, and a NEW PAIR OF SOCKS AND SHOES to prepare them for the upcoming school year. In addition\, there will be fun activities for the kids like face painting\, new books from the Book’em Book Bus\, photo ops\, and mini golf. \nWe need volunteers in many capacities for shoe stations\, photo booth attendant\, face painting\, check-in desk\, group ushers\, and many more! \nIf you can participate in any capacity\, please register to volunteer! \nTo respect everyone’s time we have condensed the event time to limit gaps between camp groups creating a more efficient flow and better volunteer experience. The day will run from 8:30AM-1:30PM. \nThis is a fun and meaningful way for you\, your team\, your family (children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent)\, and friends to give back. \nBe the person a child remembers. DESCRIPTION:Be part of something heartwarming—literally and figuratively! \nJoin us for a meaningful morning of service at the East Side Elementary Winter Coat Distribution as we help students stay warm and ready to learn this season. In partnership with Bedford County Schools\, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling\, World Literacy Foundation\, Five Below\, Commissioner Gregory Vick\, cityCURRENT\, and Operation Warm Coat\, we’re making sure local students stay warm and feel supported this winter. \nCoca-Cola Reyes Bottling will make sure every child is bundled up with gloves and hats. The World Literacy Foundation will inspire learning by gifting books\, and the new Five Below in Shelbyville is donating tote bags so every child can carry home these wonderful treasures. \nVolunteer Roles: Greeting students\, helping students select coats\, distributing hats\, gloves\, and books\, and sharing smiles. \nEvent Details: \nWhat should I wear? Plan to wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in – jeans\, slacks\, and sneakers.  If you are serving as part of an organization\, company\, church\, etc.\, feel free to represent your group by wearing a T-shirt bearing your group’s logo. \nIs there an age limit to serve? An adult must accompany all volunteers under 16.
