During his figure skating career\, Hamilton’s list of achievements includes his Olympic gold medal\, over 70 titles\, awards\, and honors. In 1990\, Hamilton was inducted into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame and in that same year\, he became a member of the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame. Following his mother’s passing from and his own survival of testicular cancer\, Hamilton launched the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation(Cancer Alliance for Research\, Education and Survivorship) in 2014\, with a mission to improve cancer patient survivorship by supporting world class cancer research and the highest quality patient treatment and care. The same year\, he founded the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy\, in partnership with the NHL’s Nashville Predators\, at Ford Ice Centers in Antioch and Bellevue\, TN\, to offer students programs to help them fall in love with ice skating.

Following his hugely effective tenure in Orlando\, Gravance left Disney to pursue other opportunities and soon amassed even more success working as a consultant\, customer service speaker and corporate culture guru. Louie has designed multi-million-dollar service campaigns for companies such as ING Financial\, Choice Hotels\, Microbac Technologies\, Nikon and The American Council of Independent Laboratories. \n \nGravance has been credited with “literally changing the consciousness of business in America” through his service campaigns and initiatives that have included Bank of America’s “The Bank of America Spirit” campaign – deemed the most successful customer service training initiative in the company’s history. In 2014\, his unique entertainment and training experience was called upon to be part of the opening team of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley expansion at Universal\, Orlando. \nAt only twelve years old\, he began working in California as a stage\, film and television actor and would go on to appear in over thirty-five national television commercials. In 1987\, Gravance was offered a summer job with one of the entertainment industry’s most successful conglomerates\, The Walt Disney Company\, beginning as a comic at Disneyland in Anaheim\, California and soon thereafter embarking on a nearly three-decade adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando\, Florida. \nGravance is the recipient of the Disney Partners in Excellence Award and the Spirit of Disney Award and has been recognized internationally as a Disney keynote speaker\, having begun his professional speaking engagements on behalf of Disney in 1998. Through his company Louie Gravance Creative Content\, based in Orlando\, Florida\, Louie\ncontinues to offer clients unique training programs with incorporated themes such as “Great Service Serves the Server First!” and powerful initiatives including “Service is a Superpower!”.  Louie’s first book: SERVICE is a SUPERPOWER! is available through Mascot books.

DESCRIPTION:Join cityCURRENT and Mother To Mother’s mission\, to Power the Good and help low-income families thrive by providing car seats\, diapers\, cribs\, and other essential resources so that under-resourced children in our community can be safe and healthy. \nFor almost two decades\, Nashville-based Mother To Mother has been working to ensure impoverished children in our community have access to basic essentials that often slip through the cracks of government subsidies and charitable support. \nYou\, your team\, your clients and other community partners can help to prepare for the distribution by sorting and loading the buses. \nTuesday\, October 24\nLocation: Mother To Mother\, 478 Allied Drive\, Nashville TN 37211\nTime:  11:30am – 1:00pm\nActivity: Sort\, gather and load the bus\n** Lunch will be provided to all volunteers \nFAQS: \nWhat should I wear? Plan to wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in – jeans\, slacks\, athleisure wear\, fingertip-length shorts\, and sneakers.  If you are serving as part of an organization\, company\, church\, etc.\, feel free to represent your group by wearing a T-shirt or hat bearing your group’s logo. \nIs there an age limit?  We love it when families serve together!  Generally\, children under 13 prefer to serve alongside their parent. \nThis is a fun and impactful way for you and your team\, family\, and friends to make a difference and give back to your community so please feel free to share this invitation with anyone who you think might be interested. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday\, December 7th for our Signature Breakfast with Richard Casper hosted by Puryear & Noonan\, CPAs at Embassy Suites Cool Springs from 7:30-9:45AM. \n \nRichard Casper is a United States Marine Veteran\, Purple Heart recipient\, Artist\, and Entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of CreatiVets\, a non-profit that provides art\, music\, and writing programs for combat veterans with post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries. He is also the co-founder of two music companies\, Casparr and We Should Write Sometime. \nRichard was named one of TIME magazines Next Generation Leaders\, is the feature of TIME’s documentary Evidence of Things Unseen\, and recognized by President George W. Bush and The Bush Institute for his passion and work helping combat veterans. He was one of thirty-three scholars chosen to be in Presidents Bush’s inaugural Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program. \nRichard served in the USMC from 2003-2007. During the first portion of his enlistment\, Casper served as Presidential guard at Camp David. Later in 2006-2007 during his tour in Iraq\, Richard survived four IED blasts which left him with a left-traumatic brain injury and witness the death of his friend which caused his post-traumatic stress. After nearly giving up\, he discovered art and song-writing as therapeutic forms of expression and went on to attend and graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. From his experiences\, he later created art and songwriting programs for CreatiVets to help other combat wounded veterans heal. \nToday\, Richard teaches art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Southern California. He is a keynote speaker\, songwriter\, and entrepreneur.
