DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Nashville Sounds\, Samaritan’s Feet\, Interfaith Dental\, Meharry and other local organizations\, Delta Dental of Tennessee presents Kids Dental Day on July 19th to give kids access to free dental screenings and cleanings as well as a new pair of socks and shoes. \nDuring Kids Dental Day\, kids are able to get a free screening and teeth cleaning from dentists and dental students from Meharry Medical College and Neighborhood Health. Then get a new pair of shoes and socks to start the new school year. \nWe need volunteers in many capacities like event prep\, registration\, and greeting\, event logistics\, handing out snacks\, playing games with kids and more! \nThe goal of this event is to bring a message of hope\, love\, and compassion to everyone served. Every time we sit across from a child\, we not only seek to meet their physical needs with a new pair of shoes and socks\, but we spend quality time with them asking about their dreams and their lives. \nIf you can participate in any capacity\, please register and come whenever is best for you. There are no time requirements so you can help for any window of time between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. \nThis is a fun and impactful way for you and your team\, family (children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent)\, and friends to make a difference and give back to your community so please feel free to share this invitation with anyone who you think might be interested.
