In partnership with Bedford County Schools\, Soles4Souls\, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling\, World Literacy Foundation\, Commissioner Gregory Vick\, and cityCURRENT\, we’re coming together to make a difference—one pair of shoes at a time. \nAlong with providing brand-new shoes to students\, we’ll be equipping them for success with backpacks from Coca-Cola and books from the World Literacy Foundation. Together\, we’re ensuring kids have the tools they need to walk confidently into their future! \nWe need volunteers in many capacities such as greeters\, shoe fitters\, shoe sizers\, sock distribution\, backpack and book stations. \nEvent Details: \n\nVolunteer Arrival Time: 7:20 AM – 7:30AM – Coffee\, water and donuts will be available to all volunteers.\nVolunteer Briefing: 7:45AM\nEvent Time: 8:15 AM – 11:30 AM\n\nFAQS: \nWhat should I wear? Plan to wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in – jeans\, slacks\, fingertip-length shorts\, and sneakers.  If you are serving as part of an organization\, company\, church\, etc.\, feel free to represent your group by wearing a T-shirt bearing your group’s logo. \nIs there an age limit to serve? A Lifetime of Impact.Join us in creating lasting change—one smile\, one step at a time. \ncityCURRENT and Delta Dental of Tennessee\, in partnership with the Nashville Sounds\, Samaritan’s Feet\, Interfaith Dental\, Meharry and other local organizations\, presents Kids Dental Day & Shoe Distribution on July 11th—at First Horizon Park. This event provides children with FREE DENTAL SCREENINGS and cleaning\, and a NEW PAIR OF SOCKS AND SHOES to prepare them for the upcoming school year. In addition\, there will be fun activities for the kids like face painting\, new books from the Book’em Book Bus\, photo ops\, and mini golf. \nWe need volunteers in many capacities for shoe stations\, photo booth attendant\, face painting\, check-in desk\, group ushers\, and many more! \nIf you can participate in any capacity\, please register to volunteer! \nTo respect everyone’s time we have condensed the event time to limit gaps between camp groups creating a more efficient flow and better volunteer experience. The day will run from 8:30AM-1:30PM. \nThis is a fun and meaningful way for you\, your team\, your family (children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent)\, and friends to give back. \nBe the person a child remembers.
