Trezevant Episcopal Home – Faith-Based, Retirement Community in Memphis

Paul Martin, Director of Health Operations at Trezevant Episcopal Home in Memphis, who highlights the organization, what Trezevant is doing to keep residents and staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, how they are helping residents stay connected to their loved ones, tips for seniors to remain active while protecting their health, and more.

Trezevant is a nonprofit, faith-based, retirement community in Memphis, TN that combines modern charm with traditional Southern style. Trezevant boasts the best offerings in LifeCare; we host independent living, assisted living, memory care, and Health and Rehabilitation Center all in one community.

Covid-19 Protocol – We continue to monitor all residents for any symptoms and vital signs are taken each shift. Our primary goal is for all residents, staff, families and Memphis as a community to emerge from this pandemic healthy and safe.  We are committed to ensuring we do all we can to make that happen.  Your trust in Trezevant is what motivates us to take this seriously and at times be more proactive than others may like.  We are following all guidance from the Shelby County Health Department, Tennessee Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Paul Martin describes unique visitation options to allow family members to see their loved ones. “We’ve created a glass door visit. One on one side of the glass door and the other on the other side, which still keeps that barrier and that separation that we’re required to, but they still can have those face to face interactions. Then we’ve also done a series of what we call drive-by parades, where we’ll bring the residents out to the sidewalk and have them sit, and let the families come by.
