Economic Opportunities: Helping Ex-Offenders Find Jobs and Change Their Lives!

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Keusi Donald, Executive Director for Economic Opportunities, LLC (EcOp), who highlights the faith-based third-party employer ministry that helps justice-involved adults thrive by offering meaningful work, a living wage, and guidance for life change. EcOp was established in 1991 as a Memphis Leadership Foundation program for adult-reentry training. In 2017, EcOp transitioned to using a Shepherds Work model to provide holistic support to justice-involved adults. Shepherds serve worker-participants by being a personal life coach, workplace mentor, advocate, spiritual guide and advisor, collaborative problem solver, and many other roles. During the interview, Keusi shares some of his personal story and the importance of their work, then talks about their program and the long-term impact being made, how companies and individuals can support their efforts and more.
