08/18: Virtual Signature Event Series featuring Pierre Desir

Born into poverty in Haiti, Desir’s remarkable story of resilience and determination to play in the NFL, Pierre Desir and his commitment to giving back and serving the community will inspire you and ignite you to power the GOOD. During the event, Pierre will share his story and lessons learned as an NFL Cornerback, Hope Giver and ChangeMaker.

He actively supports Samaritan’s Feet as a Hope Giver, and we are honored to have Manny Ohonme, the founder of Samaritan’s Feet, join us for this extraordinary experience. This year, Samaritan’s Feet will surpass the milestone of 10 million lives impacted, so we will have a lot to celebrate at the event.

At just four years old, Desir and his family left the unrest and violence in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, immigrating to St. Louis. His incredible journey reached new heights when the Cleveland Browns chose him in the 2014 NFL Draft. In 2019, Desir’s outstanding community service led to his nomination for the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award by the Indianapolis Colts.

Desir’s unwavering dedication to making a positive impact is evident in his words: “I knew for me, I was always trying to find a way to give back and inspire hope.
