Corner to Corner – Goal to help launch 10,000 Black Businesses

Corner to Corner co-creates economic participation and growth with underestimated Nashvillians through knowledge, tools, and networks.

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Shana Berkeley, Executive Director of Corner to Corner, who highlight the faith-based nonprofit organization co-creating positive economic change in Nashville by providing historically underestimated neighbors with the knowledge, tools, and networks they need to thrive on their own terms.

During the interview, Shana shares some of her own entrepreneurial journey as the beneficiary of Corner to Corner’s programming and support from The Academy, as she launched The Fashion Chase to inspire other corporate women to express themselves through fashion. She talks about The Academy, the process and impact, some of the many businesses launched, and why it’s so important to focus on Black Entrepreneurship in Nashville with the goal of helping to launch 10,000 Black Businesses in the next 10 years. She also touches on some of their other programming, like Script to Screen, focused on youth and improving literacy through creativity. Shana wraps up talking about the many ways the community can support their efforts and their entrepreneurs.
