TSU Business Incubation Center offers Nashville and surrounding communities a unique business ecosystem to help entrepreneurs drive startups and small businesses.

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Jackie Kessler, Director of Tennessee State University’s Business Incubation Center, who highlights the historic university and their Business Incubation Center, which offers Nashville and surrounding communities a unique business ecosystem to help entrepreneurs drive startups and small businesses. Founded in 1912, Tennessee State University is the only state-funded historically black university in Tennessee. The TSU Business Incubation Center is located in the heart of downtown Nashville at 315 10th Ave North, across the street from the TSU Avon Williams campus. The Center boasts 28 offices, conference and training facilities, as well as shared office space.

During the interview, Jackie discusses the model and different programs offered at the TSU Business Incubation Center, provides an example of one of the businesses going through the program, and shares how their resources, networking groups, business consulting and workshops help accelerate the learning process to effectively collaborate and share insights, skills, expertise and knowledge. She also highlights the upcoming GoBeyond 2024 Conference, which is a Small Business Conference for Government Contract Opportunities scheduled for June 12-13, 2024 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. It provides an opportunity for businesses to engage with federal, state, and local government agencies and prime contractors. It is designed to help businesses learn how to tap into the lucrative government market, which spends over $600 billion annually on various products and services.
