Dr. Forrest E. Harris highlights American Baptist College, significance of Centennial celebrations

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Dr. Forrest E. Harris, President of American Baptist College, who highlights the 100 year legacy of the Historically Black College and their mission and efforts to educate, graduate, and prepare diverse students for Christian leadership, service, and social justice in the world. Since 1924, American Baptist College has been a Christian College dedicated to educating and developing students for worldwide leadership and service.

During the interview, Dr. Harris talks about the historical significance and the role American Baptist College has played in locally and internationally, some of the many significant graduates who have shaped and continue to shape the community and our country, how it earned the name “The Holy Hill,” and plans for the future.

He shares how the Centennial celebrations will be taking place from October 2024 to October 2025 and how the community can participate in the activities and support their efforts through student scholarships, the endowment and capital projects to invest in the next hundred years ahead.
