During the interview, April talks about her own path toward recovery and how her “spiritual bankruptcy” and suicidal thoughts became the catalyst to get help and to face her childhood traumas, addictions, and challenges. She discusses the importance and power of treatment and how she now is dedicating her life to helping others find hope and healing as a passionate advocate for awareness and support. April highlights Freeman Recovery Center, an organization with 33 properties in the Nashville, Tennessee area where those struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders can receive treatment using evidence-based practices and individualized, compassionate care that equips them with the skills and resources to achieve lifelong recovery.
