The Filter Project, gospel-centered ministry providing water filters

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Elliott Stovall, Founder and CEO of The Filter Project, who shares the story of what led him to launch the parachurch, gospel-centered ministry with a mission to pour God’s love into under-resourced communities through the gift of safe, filtered, drinking water. The Filter Project partners with missionaries and other Christian organizations in Kenya to provide long-lasting water filters and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

During the interview, Elliott shares how The Filter Project was launched after meeting a missionary from Kenya and learning more about the clean water crisis around the world, and how it personally impacted the missionary and his family. Elliott discusses how he was called to help, and how answering the call from God is now helping to provide two life changing gifts to those served, sharing the gift of God’s love and the gift of clean, safe, drinking water by providing a long-lasting water filter. Elliott showcases the water filter and talks about the benefits of providing a water filter versus a well. He describes their process, starting with an assessment to test the water sources and determine how many filters will be needed to help the whole community, then details the distribution and follow ups where a relationship is continued with the family. Elliott notes that the cost to sponsor a filter and other related items given to a family, along with supporting the missionary working with the family, is only $53. He then wraps up with how the community can support their efforts.
