Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Robert Miller, Director of Sales with the FedEx St. Jude Championship, who offers a recap of the 2024 event and highlights some of the exciting updates and upgrades for the professional golf tournament being held at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, August 7-10, 2025.
As the first event in the 2025 FedExCup Playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship will host the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings at the conclusion of the FedExCup Regular Season. With only 50 players advancing to the following week’s championship, the action at TPC Southwind promises to be hard-fought throughout the four days of competition with no player cuts throughout the tournament. Hideki Matsuyama is the defending champion and the top talent will be back to battle it out for the title, and the chance to advance in the 2025 FedExCup Playoffs.
During the interview, Robert recaps the 2024 event and talks about some of the feedback from attendees and golf professionals, how the event puts a positive spotlight on Memphis and attracts a global television audience of almost 70 million viewers, engages around 1,600 volunteers, draws visitors from around the world who spend money in the Mid-South and drive an economic impact over $90 million, and donates millions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He talks about the importance of giving back to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and having FedEx as the hometown title sponsor, and how the philanthropic engagement and hometown pride attracted him and his family to Memphis. Then, Robert looks ahead to 2025 and shares some of the exciting upgrades with the hospitality packages, including the Cypress Lounge and Freight 59. The Cypress Lounge is located on 16 green and is an all-inclusive, shared hospitality setting perfect for companies looking to host clients and network with other businesses. The venue offers a climate-controlled interior featuring televisions and elevated dining, as well as outdoor bleacher seating to watch the top PGA Tour players take on the final stretch of TPC Southwind. Freight 59 is the most exclusive experience, offering valet service, celebrity chefs, custom merchandise, and more for the ultimate Memphis VIP treatment. Robert wraps up by inviting companies to participate and to enjoy and leverage the power of the tournament, and inviting everyone to come out and see how the event is the must-attend experience for both golf fans and those who just want to have fun with their friends, co-workers or family.
