Nonprofit Spotlight: EPIC Girl – When a girl faces adversity early in life without appropriate support, it can make her vulnerable to broken cycles of domestic violence, trafficking, addiction, teenage pregnancy, and incarceration. These challenges shape her view of herself and can leave her feeling hopeless, stuck, overwhelmed, and like her life doesn’t matter. Though we can’t always prevent the adversity a girl faces in childhood, we can offer her ongoing support to help her navigate potential negative outcomes as a result of that adversity.
