Survivor Fitness, a nonprofit helping cancer survivors regain their health

We provide tools and resources that empower cancer survivors to take control of their life after cancer.

Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Aaron Grunke, Founder of Survivor Fitness, who shares his personal story of battling and overcoming cancer and what led him to launch the nonprofit that helps cancer survivors regain their health and wellness through one-on-one personal training and nutritional support.

During the interview, Aaron shares his personal experience and talks about how cancer patients receive a lot of support during treatment, but little support afterwards with many survivors left feeling weak, frail and out-of-shape. Aaron started Survivor Fitness to fill this gap, to help cancer survivors take back control of their lives, combat the negative side effects of treatment and regain their strength and stamina. The program consists of 12 to 14 weeks of one-on-one personal training and nutritional support. Participants also receive individual support from a registered dietitian. Aaron shares how the program is free for cancer survivors and how all ages and cancer diagnosis are eligible for the program, as well as all fitness levels. There are gym partners across Tennessee and virtual opportunities to participate, so it is easy to get the help needed. Aaron also talks about how the community can get involved and support their efforts.
