Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Tash Weddle, CEO of The New Beginnings Center, who shares some of her background as a Master Strength Coach working at places like the University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt University and what led her to launch the Middle Tennessee-based nonprofit that is helping women discover the strength in themselves, inside and out, through coaching in fitness, nutrition, and behavior change, regardless of ability to pay.
The New Beginnings Center is a women’s only gym and nonprofit that offers an innovative approach to wellness through a scholarship-based program, which ensures that all women, regardless of income, have access to their life-changing services.
During the interview Tash talks about their 12-week program and the importance of using a cohort model to create a shared experience and supportive community. She shares testimonials and stories of success, along with fitness and nutrition tips, and discusses why weight training is so important for women. Tash also talks about their social enterprise, TNB-Fitness, and how it supports the philanthropic efforts of The New Beginnings Center. She wraps up with ways the community can get involved and participate.
