Growing up, Cam faced both academic and social challenges. Struggling with bullying and anxiety, he sought a way to defend himself and found his answer in a boxing gym. Unlike other sports, where he struggled to make the team, boxing required no tryouts—just commitment and determination.
Cam quickly fell in love with the sport. His mental toughness became his greatest asset in the ring. In just two years, by 2008, he had claimed the National Championship title, earning recognition as the #1 Super Heavyweight boxer in the country. Throughout his career, Cam has amassed an extraordinary list of achievements: 4 Golden Gloves Championships, 6 U.S. Championships, 3 PAL National Championships, 6 Ringside Championships, and 3 Olympic Trials appearances. He holds the title of the Winningest Boxer in USA Boxing history.
Yet, as remarkable as his accomplishments are, they are overshadowed by the resilience forged through his losses. His journey of perseverance and determination is so inspiring that it is featured in the Netflix Original documentary, CounterPunch. During our event Cam will share we can turn our setbacks into superpowers in his presentation, “Becoming Awesome: If You Can Fail Without Being Discouraged, Success Becomes Inevitable.”
